Strong Sales Managers Drive Higher Performance

Improve your sales team's performance through strong sales management

Improve your sales manager's performance through more effective sales leadership, sales coaching and the sales management.

The performance of any sales team is directly linked to the level of their sales manager's competency.

Diamond Assessments® provides a detailed understanding of the sales manager's current behaviours and then provides direction to select specific behavioural actions that will lift sales management performance.

Here's how it works:

Sales manager's behaviors have a big impact on sales people's performance

Step 1. Rate the sales management behaviours

The sales manager answers 41 sales manager behaviour questions based on what they currently do in their role. For each question, they just indicate how consistently they undertake the behavior and then rate how effective they believe they are when they undertake the behavior.

Their direct manager also answers the same questions to provide a different comparison and forms the basis for self awareness conversations and coaching.

Step 2. Review the report

Once approved, the sales manager and their direct manager can login to review the graphical and detailed report. This will display the sales manager's consistency, effectiveness and proficiency Diamond, along with the ratings for each of the 41 sales manager behaviours. It also provides the sales manager's direct manager's view.

This provides a platform to select key behaviours to focus on to improve sales management performance, therefore leveraging the impact the sales manager has on their sales team.

Sales managers will achieve the best results by focusing on their strengths and then work with their direct manager to select behavioural actions to leverage from these strengths.

Step 3. Improve sales management performance

Once the behavioural actions are selected, these can be applied everyday by the sales manager. As the actions will be leveraging from their strengths, the sales manager's performance will improve quickly. This in turn has a very positive impact on the sales team.

If your company also implements Diamond Assessments® for the sales people, the sales manager can use the Sales Person Diamond Assessments® to gain a deeper understanding of the behaviours their sales people exhibit, this will assist them to coach their team to specific sales behaviours.
